With the release of the Selkirk LABS Project 008 pickleball paddle comes a new paddle shape, the Maxima, after months of testing and refining from Selkirk LABS, Selkirk’s research and development division.
The Maxima paddle shape is the latest wide-body shape with an elongated handle, popular with players who use a two-handed backhand and want the added reach. With the Maxima shape, you get more surface area and a generous (and forgiving) sweet spot that helps avoid mishits.
Players who use a 2-handed backhand or want extra reach will benefit from the Maxima paddle shape. It is also a great paddle shape option for players who prefer a large sweet spot and surface area.
The Project 008 features two core innovations:
- PureFoam Core is hyper-responsive while resisting deformation over time.
- Thermoformed Construction with Additional Foam Wall expands the sweet spot for extra forgiveness.
