What pickleball equipment do I need to get started?
All you need to get started in pickleball is a set of paddles, pickleballs and a net. (Maybe something about) as you progress through pickleball you'll want something to enhance your strengths and improve your weaknesses.
What are the differences between pickleball paddle materials / what are the differences in pickleball paddles (fibreglass, graphite, carbon fibre)?
Material for pickleball paddles are always changing, when we first started stocking pickleball paddles fibreglass was all the range. Now Carbon Fibre and advanced core materials like foam are taking the pickleball industry by storm. Fibreglass, is known for pop however often have smaller sweetspots. Graphite is great for learning the game as the face is forgiving and Carbon Fibre is the go to for most brands thanks to its combination of spin levels, power, control and forgiveness.
How do I choose the right paddle weight and core thickness?
in short Lightweight paddles improve reactions and hand speed, midweight paddles suit beginners due to their forgiveness, and heavier paddles provide additional power. As for Core thickness traditionally speaking the thinner a paddle the more power and response it provides. You'll typically see these paddles from 11mm - 14mm. Where as thicker core paddles provide more control and forgiveness taking the "sting" out of the ball. The paddles range from 15mm - 19mm
Are your products USA Pickleball approved?
Yes, all paddles we stock at The Pickleball Store are USAPA approved meaning they are tournament ready and from approved/reputable brands. For those that don't know USA Pickleball Association certified, means the paddle undergoes stringent testing to make sure it meets official tournament and quality standards.

Can I buy pickleball equipment at your physical location?
Our business primarily operates online, but local collection or showroom visits and demo use on our store court may be available. Contact us for current options and inventory.
What is your refund or exchange policy?
Most new, unused equipment is eligible for return within 30 days. Paddles showing signs of abuse cannot be returned or exchanged.
How long do pickleball paddles typically last?
This differs from player to player, based on varying factors from how you treat your paddle how often you play, where its stored. Some brands provide limited lifetime warranties on paddles and equipment to provide support on any workmanship/manufacturing faults. High-quality paddles last one to five years depending on use and care. Expect to replace performance paddles every two to three years for optimal play. Most players will have a paddle for around 18 months with others purchasing 2 paddles one as a back up or for different game types (singles vs double)
Are there any warranties on pickleball products?
Most major brands offer warranties against manufacturing defects—claims are subject to their individual policies. Please check specific brand terms before purchasing.

How can I verify that my equipment is tournament-approved?
All tournament-approved paddles have official certifications—look for USA Pickleball marks in product descriptions or contact us to confirm eligibility. or UPA-A Approved marks.
